Carson Wentz harms right ankle in Indianapolis Colts’ defeate to Los Angeles Rams

Foals quarterback Carson Wentz will go through additional assessment on his right lower leg in the wake of harming it in the final quarter of Sunday’s misfortune to the Los Angeles Rams.

Replays showed Wentz’s right lower leg seriously curving as he went down. He said he could feel it turning under the heap immediately. Wentz was delayed to get up and afterward limped to the sideline.

“He rolled it up pretty bad,” Colts coach Frank Reich said. “I had a sense when he walked off the field. It didn’t look good. Sometimes if you go back in right away when it’s still warm you can maybe gut out a few more plays. The longer we were off the field, it stiffened up and he tried, but there was no chance.”

Wentz was plainly disappointed while the preparation staff watched out for his lower leg. He tossed his cap at a certain point. Wentz didn’t get back to the game, as second-year quarterback Jacob Eason played the Colts’ last two series. Eason tossed a capture on his subsequent pass endeavor in the wake of entering the game.

“Felt it right away. Tried to tape it up and do everything I could to finish the game,” Wentz said. “… I’ve sprained my ankle probably 100 times since I was a kid. This one I just couldn’t play on it.”

Wounds have been a huge piece of Wentz’s vocation. He has played a full season only twice in the initial five years of his NFL profession. His most genuine physical issue was a torn ACL experienced late in the 2017 season, likewise against the Rams. Wentz missed three weeks of instructional course this year in the wake of going through left foot a medical procedure on Aug. 2. Eason took most of the main group snaps in Wentz’s nonattendance. He’ll probably begin against Tennessee in Week 3 in case Wentz is out for a lengthy timeframe.

The conviction was that Wentz, who the Colts obtained from Philadelphia during the offseason, would have a chance to remain solid while playing behind what had been a decent hostile line in past seasons. Wentz is 45-of-69 for 498 yards with three scores and a capture attempt while showing a skill for having the option to expand plays with his feet this season. Simultaneously, however, he has additionally been hit too often. Wentz has been sacked multiple times and hit 21 extra occasions through the initial two games.

“When you have a running quarterback who gets hurt, everybody says, there you go,” Reich said. “Half the quarterbacks around the league play like Carson plays, extending plays. Trying to do things like that. I’m encouraged with how he’s playing.”

The Colts, who are 0-2 interestingly under Reich, are going to begin a three-game excursion. Indianapolis hasn’t began a season 0-3 since 2011.
