Why did you choose this career path?

My family was struggling. My parents’ business was failing and we were about to lose our house. So my brother, sister and I decided to start our own printing business to help make ends meet. To me, it was necessary to make a difference in my family’s lives.

What has surprised you most about running your own business?

Running a business and growing it successfully will show you what you’re made of. It’s a creative process. You might not have the resources you need, so you have to come up with clever solutions to the problems you face. Sometimes I think that having every resource at your disposal is a bad thing. It means you never have to get resourceful and creative to make things happen.

What defines your business isn’t money. It’s your work ethic, ability to solve problems, and your ability to manage people that do.

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned in your career?

I’ve learned to trust myself and my decisions. I know I’m a good entrepreneur. If people don’t agree with what I do, that’s fine. At the end of the day, it’s my problem. They can leave any time; I’m with the company no matter what.
