Japanese Teacher Umeko Tsuda Celebrating with Doodle

Todays Doodle, shown by Japan-based visitor craftsman Kano Nakajima, commends the spearheading Japanese teacher and reformer Umeko Tsuda. Tsuda kicked off something new as one of the principal young ladies sent by the Japanese government to concentrate abroad and went on to establish what is today probably the most seasoned school for ladies. On this day in 1915, the Japanese government granted Tsuda the esteemed Order of the Precious Crown for her accomplishments in ladies’ schooling.
