2025 Ram RHO Makes Debut as Rival to Chevy Silverado ZR2

The brand-new 2025 Ram RHO from Stellantis is explain to deliver the highest horsepower per dollar ($126.60 per pony) of any off-road vehicle available. With 540 horsepower and 521 pound-feet of torque, the brand-new 3.0L I6 Hurricane High Output twin-turbo engine steals the show. The new Ram RHO acts as an indirect competitor for the off-roader light-duty Silverado, even if it does not directly compete with the Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2.

The new Ram RHO was first seen earlier this year by GM Authority, who obtained spy footage of it during testing, revealing a number of characteristics that were similar to those of the now-phased-out Ram TRX. The main feature of the RHO is its new six-cylinder turbocharged engine, which takes the place of the Ram TRX’s supercharged V8.

Stellantis states that the 2025 Ram RHO will reach 60 mph in 4.6 seconds, reach 100 mph in 11.7 seconds, and finish the quarter mile in 13.1 seconds at 105 mph with 540 horsepower and 521 pound-feet of torque. It has a maximum speed of 118 mph.

With its composite wide wheel arches, distinctive grille, unique hood, LED lighting, and hood scoop, the car keeps an aggressive stance. A set of 35-inch tyres mounted on 18-inch bead lock wheels is seen beneath the flared arches. According to Stellantis, the Ram 1500 RHO is the widest vehicle in the light-duty truck market, measuring eight inches wider than the competition.

Inspired by off-road racers in the desert, the new Ram RHO is built with a long-travel suspension system and variable damping. The front upper and lower control arms of the setup are made of high-strength forged aluminium, and they have features like 11.8 inches of ground clearance and up to 14 inches of rear axle travel to help in tough terrain. The full complement of skid plates, a Dana 60 rear axle, and the three-stage progressive hydraulic Jounce Control system are also noteworthy features.

More than 50 inches of digital screen real estate, comprising a 14.5-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch passenger screen, and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, are available to passengers inside.
