More than a year ago, GM unveiled the 2024 Chevy Trax, the replacement for the Bow Tie as an entry-level crossover.

Following in the footsteps of the Chevy Blazer crossover, the 2024 Chevy Trax exterior design adopts the most recent Bow Tie brand design language for internal combustion-powered cars. Compared to the previous model, the all-new Trax is wider, lower, and longer. A pair of LED headlamps arranged as a dual-level cluster are located up front. There are five available trim levels: LS, 1RS, LT, 2RS, and Activ. Each has special grille treatments and wheels.

In addition, the 2024 Chevy Trax comes with new roof rack cross rails and a new Blackout Package.

The new 2024 Trax has a roomier inside than the previous generation and is equipped with more safety features and technology. The LS and 1RS trim levels come with a standard eight-inch diagonal infotainment screen, while the LT, 2RS, and Activ trim levels have an 11-inch screen. Additional onboard technology includes cruise control and active noise cancellation; most trim levels also come with adaptive cruise control.

The 2024 Chevy Trax’s 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine, which is turbocharged, produces 162 pound-feet of torque at 2,500 to 4,000 rpm and 137 horsepower at 5,000 rpm overall thanks to improvements. The Chevy Trailblazer’s LS and LT grade levels have the same engine. Better fuel efficiency over the 2022 Chevy Trax is another feature of the 2024 Trax.

While the previous Trax had an all-wheel drive option, just front-wheel drive is now offered. AWD owners will have to upgrade to the previously described Trailblazer.

The subcompact crossover from the Bow Tie brand is receiving a lot of positive feedback.

Ten GM vehicles were nominated for North American Car of the Year in 2024; six of those models competed for the title of North American Utility Vehicle of the Year. Among them was the 2024 Chevy Trax.

Furthermore, the J.D. Power 2024 U.S. ALG Residual Value Award went to the brand-new Chevy Trax.

Additionally, Car and Driver named the upcoming Chevy Trax one of the 10 Best Trucks and SUVs for 2024.
