Seven New Small SUVs Are Coming This Year, From Toyota To Tata

1. Nexon CNG & Tata Punch Facelift: (Launch – Coming Months)

The redesigned Tata Punch ICE is scheduled to go on sale in the second half of 2024 and has already been observed testing in India. It will have visual and interior upgrades that adhere to the most recent design language chosen by the brand, following the recent debut of the Punch.EV. No powertrain changes are anticipated.

The Nexon CNG will be the first CNG-equipped turbocharged petrol car in India, and it is based on the Nexon iCNG concept that was shown at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024. It will also have a boot volume that can be used, thanks to the twin-cylinder technology.

2. Kia Clavis: (Debut – End of 2024 or Beginning in 2025)

The Kia Clavis, which is anticipated to make its world premiere later this year, is modelled after the Soul and has towering pillars and upright proportions. It will sit above the Sonet and have a roomier interior and boot. In the near future, it will be available with an IC engine, a hybrid engine, and an electric engine.

3. The Mahindra XUV300 Facelift and EV will launch in the upcoming months.

Mahindra is set to launch the redesigned XUV300 in India in the upcoming months, adopting the same style cues as the XUV700 and BE lineup. It will have a new automatic gearbox, and the interior design will more closely resemble that of the 2024 XUV400. The features list will also be significantly expanded, adding things like a digital cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen.

The XUV300 electric variant will be positioned beneath the XUV400 and include a smaller battery pack with a potential 350–400 km stated range. It will compete with the entry-level Nexon EV models and the Tata Punch EV.

4. MG Comet Based EV: (Presentation – Holiday Season)

MG has declared that it will introduce a brand-new electric car during India’s holiday season. But its identification is still unknown. It’s likely that it will be a small e-SUV built on the Comet EV’s chassis, with significant Baojun Yep Plus inspiration.

5. Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor: April 3rd is its debut.

Based on the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Toyota will launch the Urban Cruiser Taisor in India on April 3, 2024. The rebadged Fronx will share the same mechanical components, equipment, and powertrain as its source car, but it will have minimal visual changes. It will be positioned between the Glanza and Hyryder.
