The All-New Chevrolet Sail Hatchback Will Arrive In Chile Soon

After the all-new 2024 Chevy Sail sedan was introduced in Chile recently, General Motors is getting ready for the hatchback version of the brand-new, well-liked little car to make its debut in that nation.

In order to bolster the brand’s offering in what is still the biggest and most well-liked sector of the Chilean automobile market, the carmaker intends to launch the brand-new Chevy Sail hatchback in Chile at the start of 2024. As a result, the new fourth-generation Sail’s five-door hatchback version will arrive in the nation very soon, joining the portfolio of the revised nameplate.

Specifically, the all-new Chevy Sail hatchback will be the first five-door model in the successful nameplate’s history in Chile, where it has only been sold as a four-door sedan body since 2011. This will also signal the return of the model’s two-box form. During the second generation of the automobile, a few markets worldwide saw the sale of the final Chevy Sail hatchback.

Similar to the sedan version, the all-new Chevy Sail hatchback will be the same car that had its global debut as the all-new 2024 Chevy Aveo hatchback in Mexico in early December 2022. The new model will stand out for its youthful look, class-leading interior space with a huge trunk and folding rear seats, as well as a comprehensive equipment list. It will complement the fourth-generation Sail’s offering in the Chilean market.

The majority of the Chevy Sail hatchback’s characteristics, including its 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with 98 horsepower and 105 pound-feet of torque, are actually shared by the sedan model. A continuously variable automatic gearbox or a six-speed manual gearbox can be connected to the powertrain.

In Chile, where it is expected to be the brand’s best-selling model locally, the all-new Chevy Sail hatchback will make its debut soon. Sales of the new model are expected to begin in the first half of 2024. The same SAIC-GM-Wuling facility in China that produces the sedan models now on the Chilean market will also create the new Sail hatchback.
