Two New Paint Colours For The 2025 Chevy Trax

Orders for the popular and reasonably priced all-new 2024 Chevy Trax compact crossover are now available, and the 2025 Chevy Trax will go into production in the coming months.

Significant changes to the available exterior colour scheme for the upcoming model year have now been brought to the attention of GM Authority.

In particular, the following paint colours (corresponding colour codes in parenthesis) will be available for the 2025 Trax:

  • Cypress Grey (GBD)
  • Metallic Marina Blue (GKN)

In the meantime, four colours from the lineup will be dropped for the 2025 Chevy Trax, including the following:

  • Harvest Bronze Metallic (GZF)
  • Fountain Blue (GLN)
  • Cayenne Orange Metallic (GFQ)
  • Blue Glow Metallic (GGK)

For the Trax model year 2024, these four paint colours already had an early buildout; they were no longer available for purchase as of mid-December 2023. After these modifications, the 2025 Chevy Trax will come with an assortment of eight exterior paint options, as displayed below:

  • Green Cacti (GVR)
  • Metallic Crimson (GFM)
  • GBD, or Cypress Grey
  • Metallic Marina Blue (GKN)
  • Metallic Mosaic Black (GB8)
  • Metallic Nitro Yellow (GCP)
  • Metallic Sterling Grey (GXD)
  • Summit White (GAZ)

The completely redesigned second-generation Trax crossover will go on sale as the 2025 Chevy Trax. The second-generation vehicles have undergone major dimensional upgrades compared to the first generation; they are wider at 71.7 inches and longer at 178.6 inches, excluding mirrors. At 61.4 inches, the second-generation Trax is slightly shorter than its first-generation counterpart.

Because of this, the interior features a 12 percent larger load capacity and an extra 3 inches of rear legroom. Higher trim levels come standard with an 11-inch infotainment screen, although an 8-inch screen is also available. The exterior design incorporates the newest ICE stylistic cues from the Bow Tie, which are also present on the Chevy Blazer with internal combustion.

The Chevy Trax’s turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine, which produces 162 pound-feet of torque and 137 horsepower, powers all trim levels. It is mated to a FWD drivetrain via a GM six-speed automatic gearbox. According to information obtained by GM Authority, the 2025 Trax will have an upgraded engine that can run on E85.

In terms of design, the new Trax is based on the GM VSS-F vehicle family. The GM Changwon facility in South Korea is responsible for producing the second generation Chevy Trax.
