Maruti Swift Launch 2024 Is Scheduled for May 2024

After its debut in Japan last year, the fourth-generation Maruti Swift has since been introduced in a few foreign regions. This hatchback model receives numerous new features, an upgraded powertrain, a revamped interior, and a refreshed external look. The new-generation India-spec Swift is scheduled to debut in the first half of May 2024, according to confirmed timing. New Design For New Swift?

With a few minor external tweaks for a more contemporary look, the 2024 Swift’s overall design is largely unchanged from the outgoing model. This includes a sharper rear spoiler, revamped 15-inch alloy wheels, a slimmer grille, updated tail lights, and redesigned bumpers.

Additionally, the rear door handles of the new Swift are positioned on the doors in the conventional manner, as opposed to the present model’s mounting on the C-pillars.

The inside has also undergone modifications. Like other upgraded Maruti models in India like the Fronx and Baleno, the 2017 Swift gets a new dashboard design and a lighter cabin motif.

Powertrain

A new 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder petrol engine with 82 PS and up to 112 Nm powers the 2017 Swift. In the global market, this engine is mated to a CVT or a 5-speed manual gearbox. Additionally, this engine is available with an AWD option and a mild hybrid variant, neither of which will be sold in India.

The 1.2-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine of the outgoing Swift in India produces 90 PS and 113 Nm of torque when mated to a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic gearbox.

Expected Price & Rivals

It is anticipated that the 2024 Maruti Swift will start at Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom). It will remain a rival to the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and act as a substitute for the Renault Triber. They anticipate the arrival of the revised Maruti Dzire, the sub-4 million sedan based on the Swift, shortly after.
