Chevy Blazer EV Wins 2024 Wards 10 Best Interiors & UX Award

The 2024 Chevy Blazer EV is already receiving car awards, even though it is only in its first model year. The most recent honour was a place on the 2024 Wards 10 Best Interiors and UX list, where it was recognised as a top model for its cabin design and user experience.

Christie Schweinsberg, one of the 2024 Wards 10 Best judges, said that the trim of the Chevy Blazer EV cockpit is one of its winning features since it “embodies the creativity” of its designers. One of the things that distinguished the winners, according to the judge, was the daring use of “ever more unique trim, either with films or – in the case of the winning Chevy Blazer EV – perforated hard plastic.”

Schweinsberg also praised the use of significantly larger infotainment and driver display screens, noting that in addition to “raising their aesthetics game, automakers also are going big on interior technology, literally.” She said that the screens offer considerably better interfaces and graphics, matching “the quality of those in our living rooms.”

The comfort and style of the Chevy Blazer EV’s seating was brought up once more as reasons why it stands out. One of the two available interior hues for the crossover, the Black / Adrenaline Red (RPO code EMJ) interior of the Blazer EV was emphasised by WardsAuto as having striking brightness.

The awards also highlighted the winners’ roomy cabins, generous cargo capacity, an abundance of practical USB connections, wireless smartphone pairing, and excellent voice assistants. The Buick Envista in its Avenir trim level was the only other GM car to make the list. A Kia, a Mercedes-Benz, a Lincoln, two Hyundais, and a few other cars also secured a spot.

Among the few EV models introduced or updated for 2024, the Chevy Blazer EV stood out as one of only two electric cars on the list.

Remember that after lifting a stop-sale order to address a software issue, GM just started selling the Blazer EV at a reduced price. The 2LT trim with AWD has the lowest beginning MSRP among the currently offered versions, at $50,195. This price includes a $1,395 destination freight fee.

The crossover is powered by GM Ultium Drive motors and Ultium batteries and is supported by the GM BEV3 platform. The GM Ramos Arizpe factory in Mexico is where all Blazer EV models are produced.
