Maruti Swift’s All-New 2024 Launch Just 2 Months Away:Report

In anticipation of the release of the eagerly awaited next generation Swift hatchback, Maruti Suzuki is getting ready. According to recent speculations, the car might be introduced in India in the upcoming two months. Numerous adjustments have been made to the popular hatchback’s exterior as well as interior.

After making its debut at the Japan Mobility Show in 2023, this updated Swift model was later introduced in that country. The vehicle being tested has been spotted numerous times in India. Leaks indicate that 2024 Swift production will get underway in the upcoming weeks. With a few minor changes, the Indian version of the automobile is anticipated to resemble the Japanese model.

The forthcoming Swift’s exterior has undergone a thorough redesign. The automobile now has new LED daytime running lights in the headlamps and a reworked grille with a honeycomb mesh motif. Redesigned bonnet, revised fog lamp housings, modified front and rear bumpers, and brand-new diamond alloy wheels all go well with these modifications.

When viewed from the back, not much has changed. There have been updates to the bumper, tailboard and taillights on the back. The new Swift’s width and height have decreased by 30 and 40 mm, respectively, while its length has grown by 30 mm.

The back door handles’ new location is one obvious modification. The handles are once again in their customary location; they were previously on the C-pillar. New colour schemes, an integrated spoiler, and a high-mounted stop lamp are also anticipated, all of which will increase the car’s sportiness.

The new Swift has a totally different interior. The next car will have a considerably more upscale interior with a tonne of new amenities. The primary feature is a floating 9-inch touch screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The semi-digital instrument cluster, dual-tone dashboard, steering-mounted control, automatic climate control, and leather-wrapped steering wheel are further amenities. Given Maruti’s recent emphasis on safety, it is anticipated that the top variant of the car will include six airbags. A number of premium features that may not be available in the Indian version of the car are included in the global version.

The current 1.2L K series engine will be replaced under the hood by a new 1.2L three-cylinder Z series mild-hybrid petrol engine, which promises better fuel economy and lower emissions. The options for manual and automatic transmissions will be available to customers. It is anticipated that the new Swift will have a potent hybrid system like to the Grand Vitara’s. For the new Swift, a 35 km/l mileage estimate is being bandied about.

But this hybrid version will cost more; the top model is probably going to cost around Rs. 12 lakhs. Recent sources indicate that the all-new Swift should be released within the next two months. Whether Maruti releases the robust hybrid version of Swift in India would be interesting to see. Should it be introduced, Swift will have the strongest hybrid system among cars in its class, making it the most fuel-efficient vehicle.
